~Wait, so do you really come from another world?~ the voice of a small orange Pokémon chirred.
"Yes." replied a boy, shacking his head. His hair was a stark white, his eyes blood red, his skin ghostly pale. Chizo the Torchic had been asking him the same question ever since he had told him the fact. She was hopping along the ground, occasionally fluttering up to a branch. She chirped as she landed from a low one; Torchic weren't the most reknown flyers, and Chizo was no exception to this rule. Also walking with Connor were his other Pokémon. A Tangela, named Telsa, toddled along on one side of him, skipping along and pausing to sniff something before moving on. Along his other side walked Agorla, a Gible. He was a proud Pokémon, and felt that he knew best.
~I wonder what Pokémon we'll meet first~ thought Vivime aloud. She was a reason why Connor was so unusual; she was his daemon, his soul on the outside. She could change forms, talk, and had a strong bond with her human. She was currently an Eevee, nice and warm against the bitter autumn air in Connor's hot arms. Yes, his body was warmer than most. He was a Charizard Pokémorph, after all. He smiled at his Pokémon, looking about at the same time, always aware for wild Pokémon that might come strolling by.

A rather confused Zigzagoon roamed dizzily in their path. It seemed to have taken a beating and it cringed and quivered every few seconds. It seemed to be badly poisoned. The Zigzagoon sauntered absent-mindedly towards them. His eyes were crossed and he seemed unnaturally pale. Which before their eyes, was somehow possible.
The Zigzagoon then collapsed. It laughed stupidly a few times and was then out cold. After that, a horrendous screech filled the air. This was a rather disturbing sequence of events but in the Pokemon World, this was the slightest unusual event.

Connor saw the Zigzagoon, and smiled. Oh, would this Pokémon be his 'second starter' or whatever it was they were called? Then he saw how ill and beaten up the poor thing looked. It laughed- perhaps delirious?- then fainted. He gasped, dashing forward to catch the poor critter. Oh, the poor Pokémon! Vivme had jumped out his arms as he caught the racoon before it hit the ground, hoping that his warm body temperature would help. If it was doing worse, his daemon could always become an Ice type and carry it or something.
Well, he'd caught Zigzagoon and the Pokémon was now with his and so had a better chance of surviving; he could get it to a Pokémon Center. However, he didn't really know what to do with it. He could always catch it for his second starter, but it didn't seem right somehow. He had Potions, but Zigzagoon was fainted so they wouldn't do so much. Connor then heard the screech, Chizo the Torchic and Agorla the Gible both tensing up ready for battle, Telsa the Tangela whimpering in fear. Connor met his Pokémon's eyes, then they all raced off in the direction of the sound; it could be another Pokémon in trouble, or the cause of the problem! Phew, this was a lot to happen before he'd even got his second starter!

"Idiot, Zigzagoon, running in on me..." an Electrike grumbled, not far from Conner and his group. In rage, he shot electricity int the air from his body. Which unintentionally marked his location. That Zigzagoon walked in his territory in search for food. He was reasonable angry. The Electrike had told the Zigzagoon to eat somepoisonous berries about 10 feet away from his current location and then nearly pulverized it.
He heard bushes rustling and a lot of footfalls. He got slightly nervous because he knew it was himself versus the newcomers and his uneven odds. He quickly wiped the fear off his face to show that he was going to fight hard. Fear would almost immediately put your opponent in control.

Connor, Zigzagoon still in his arms, spied the Electrike. Oh! The Electric type dog looked pretty fierce, as if he were intent on battle. Was it possible that this Pokémon had done that to Zigzagoon? It seemed possible, but the poisoning was a little confusing. Still, there were other ways Zigzagoon could have gotten himself poisoned. Whatever the case, Electrike wanted a battle, and the albino would give him one. Vivime became a Charizard, taking Zigzagoon protectively in her arms while Connor looked at Chizo. "Chizo, start with a Scratch!"
Agorla looked a little disappointed that he hadn't been picked, but he supposed Connor might want to use his starter, since this was his first ever battle. Chizo proudly stepped forward, shuffling her feathers, ready for battle. The Torchic sprang into action, racing for her first opponent the Electrike in a strong Scratch attack.

At the sight of the Torchic charging at him, he spun out of the way agile-like and shot a Thunder Wave straight at Chizo. It blazed furiously towards the fire-chick. It glowed yellow and pushed teh wind out of the viciously as it exploded in spark forms.
The Electrike seemed to have a lot of experience alone in battle based on the style and certain wiseness of his moves and how he performed them. His Thunder Wave right then and there just seemed to make one sense the Electrike's true potential.

Connor watched as Electrike used a Thunder Wave. Rather skillfully too, if he might add. This would have been good had the Electric type been on his team, but unfortunately he was fighting against him. Shame, really, since Thunder Wave was a move that would paralyze the opponent, and it had sucessfully hit Chizo. The Torchic knew this, and growled in annoynace. Connor gritted his teeth. She would find it hard to move now. She should be still able to make sounds, though. "Growl." he said, keeping calm.
Chizo would have nodded, but the movement was slow and felt weird. The paralysis wouldn't bind her on every turn, of course, but seeing as she had only just taken the electricity it was having a decent affect right now. The Torchic could only open her beak- just about- and emitt a Growl attack with the aim of lowering Electrike's attack stat.

The Electrike wasted no time going for Tackle straight after his Thunder Wave. Then the Torchic growled at him during his attack. Not only was it weird for a bird to growl, but the sound made him cringe. So he wasn't able to focus. His attack was weakened and he had a sudden urge to be careful incase he hit Chizo to hard and it'd blow up or something.
The Electrike still was pleased that his Thunder Wave hit, so his attack being lowered over curiosity was a pain, but it wouldn't be too much of a loss.

Connor saw Electrike racing in for a Tackle. Chizo's Growl seemed to have a definate affect on the dog, lowering his attack and making him slow slightly, but it was still too fast for the paralysed Torchic to dodge. She was hit by the Tackle easily, but found it easier to move afterwards; this was one of the turns she would be able to attack. "Chizo, Scratch!" Connor called, hoping she'd manage to pull this off.
Chizo turned on Electrike while he was still close, realising she didn't stand much of a chance at striking him once he'd moved away; she might be able to move this turn, but she was still quite slow. The Fire type moved as quickly as she could, which felt so annoyingly slow to her, targeting a Scratch attack at her Electric type opponent.

The Electrike jumped backward to dodge the Scratch from Chizo, but came up short in awkward fashion as he tumbled into the dirt. The dirt coated his electric body made him feel awful. He almost couldn't stand it. Rather than attacking while he still had a chance with his advantage, he whimpered at the feeling of the dirt that made him shiver. Electric types obviously were not fans of ground type moves, pokemon, or dirt to much.

Connor was a little surprised at how Electrike was behaving. It was just a little dirt. Oh, right! Electricity sought to head for the ground, and the dirt must have short-circuited Electrike somehow. Good, good. That made things a little easier for him. Chizo would be able to get another hit in while the dog made the fuss about the dirt. The 'morph doubted Electrike would hold off after all this, but hey. This was his chance. "Chizo, use another Scratch!"
The Torchic was happy to obey, racing forwards to meet Electric. By racing, I mean moving as fast as she could; still under the influence of paralysis, she was slower than she would have liked. The Fire type managed to perform the Scratch attack none the less, but the only question was whether it would hit.

The Electrike shrieked and quivered when Chizo was able to launched a Scratch. Even though the Torchic was going incredously slow, the Electrike was knocked into the dirt. Rage filled through the mind of the electric dog. And adrenaline pushed violently throught he veins of the Electrike. Anger swept over and the Electrike completely lost the thought of the dirt and everything fell apart.
The Electrike began shoot across a Thunder Wave despite the fact that Chizo was already in paralysis. He couldn't control his actions as well anymore, he was that angry.

Frowning, Connor could see that Electrike seemed to have lost it a little. The little Pokémon had got so worked up, he wasn't in control. That was something he'd learned to do; keep himself under control. If he managed to stay calm, he could think up decent strategies and win. If he lost it, he'd loose the fight, too. He felt quite sorry for Electrike, in fact. "Electrike, try and stay calm! Oops." he called out. He didn't like fighting an opponent that didn't fight back, it didn't seem fair. "Chizo, Scratch again!"
The Torchic tried to use a Scratch, but... it didn't work. The Thunder Wave had passed over her, and she had felt nothing from it. However, her previous paralysis was catching up on her again, forcing her body to remain still for this turn. She grunted angrily, unable to attack Electrike.

The Electrike screeched a rather menacing, rage-filled battle cry and it bolted like a BMX Racer towards Chizo in what seemed to be a Tackle. The Electrike did give Connor's words about two seconds of thought. That wouldn't help, he was too mad. That and he couldn't process proper human speech through the rage pulsing through his body.
He was hoping that this Tackle would fix the applewagon of Chizo. Hoping put the Torchic away before he made any other mistake. He couldn't afford to lose. To him, this was a battle for territory so he knew or thought it was important to pull through. It proved there was little he really knew.

Chizo found herself able to move just a little, but it wasn't nearly enough to avoid Electrike's charging attack. The Torchic found herself hit by the powerful move, the adrenalin fuelling Electrike and giving him a boost making the Tackle hurt just that little bit more. The Fire type was flung through the air, landing heavily and painfully on the ground. She groaned in pain. Connor could see that that move had been a pretty powerful one. "Chizo, you can do this! Stay calm, and use a Scratch!" he called.
Chizo had been about to get angry at Electrike, but managed to stop herself before it was too late. Good. She was able to move this turn, and since Electrike was still reasonably near from the Tackle, he was an easy target. The Torchic rushed for him, talons at the ready. She was about to deliver a strong Scratch attack, but would it hit?

The Electrike had his feet planted firmly after the Tackle and watched with a still angered expression as it was blasted into the air. He was starting to calm down, but very very very very[/v] slowly. A little too slowly in a battle like this. The Electrike was still planted and didn't even consider being attacked when he was still closed up resulting him to feel the wrath of the Tackle.
He was knocked over and tumbled backward, he landed on his feet after rolling back, but then collapsed from dizziness and exhaustion. Considering it was the only thing he could do, he charged at the Fire-type with another vicious Tackle. It wasn't as powerful, but it was capable of putting the average wild pokemon out. It depended on how strong Chizo truly was. It wasn't hard to tell, however, how tiring this battle was and it really was starting to show on the Electrike.

Connor barely dared to breath as he watched this. This move, this very turn, would decide the outcome of his first battle. If Chizo could withstand this, she would be likely to strike Electrike in return and win. If she didn't... he would have lost. There wasn't much he could do to help her, other than remaining confident and believing in the little chicken. "Chizo, I know you can do this! Use a Growl to lower his attack stat, endure the Tackle and use a Scratch!" he called.
Chizo was surprised how positive Connor still sounded. He must really believe in her. She hoped she wouldn't let him down. The Torchic lowered Electrike's attack power with her Growl, and then was struck by the Tackle, unable to dodge. She cried out in pain. That had hurt. Really, majorly hurt. She managed to hang in there, clinging to the last bits of hope. The Torchic slashed out at Electrike, hoping to end this battle with a last Scratch.
