Machop attempted to do Low Kick on the Espeon morph to sweep the Eevelution onto the ground. Whether that woprked or not, Sulteron was not able to get the Pidgey. Because the Machop know longer had it. It took a few seconds before the Machop noticed the lightness in its arms.
A turqoise blurr shot across everyone in a straight circle. Creating a dizziating feeling. Wind flowed from the speed of this Pokemon. Eventually the whizzing air and the turqoise blur stopped as a Lucario formed next to Ace. The Pidgey looked rather dazed than knocked out. But the Pidgey was safe in Lucario's grasp. Ace smirked as he leaned against the tree. The Machop slammed its fists into the Earth in frustration. Mad that he had failed.

Sulteron jumped over the Low Kick, and blinked in surprise as she saw that her target had gone in a turquiose blur. What? This was getting weirder and weirder. She looked around, spying a Lucario next to Ace. Awesome, a Lucario. It belonged to Ace, so it was on her side. It was holding the Pidgey, too, meaning Machop had failed. Perfect! They'd helped Pidgeotto and rescued this one little Pidgey!
Transforming back into a human, Sulteron looked at her Pokémon. They all looked pleased with themselves, aside from Lux, who was staring at the Lucario in awe. That was understanable, since the Riolu wished to some day evolve into a Lucario. Sulteron took the little Pidgey from Lucario and walked over to Pidgeotto. "Pidgeotto, don't worry! Look, we've saved your Pidgeys!" she told her happily, holding the chick in her arms out to its mother.

Lucario grinned slightly. The Machop had decided to go see if his trainer was okay while the Lucario glowed a mysterious cyan color. As this happened, the Pidgey slowly gained health. The Lucario's ears levitated upward and it shook slightly. After this process was complete, the Lucario knelt down and set the Pidgey onto the grass where it happily trotted to the now recovering Pidgeotto.
The Lucario tried to ignore that Lux was gazing at him, but grinned in doing so. He found it rather enjoyable that he was looked up upon in a way. Ace was a good trainer, but he had an ego and the Lucario often felt like a small detail in Ace's success. It was good to be looked up as a "hero" or something.

Sulteron smiled as she saw the Pidgey trot over to the Pidgeotto. Her Pokémon had returned to her now, and Lux was watching Lucario like he was even more her role model. Sulteron gave a little chuckle as she saw how much the Riolu looked up to the Pokemon. "I'm sure you'll be able to do just as well as him if you train hard enough," she reassured the Pokémon, who smiled in response. She wanted to be able to be as cool as Lucario!
Sulteron watched as Pidgey returned to Pidgeotto. It would be nice, she supposed, to train a Pidgey, but of course these were still with Pidgeotto. Instead, she watched them for a bit before glancing at the Wooper, then Ace. "So, what brings such an experienced trainer to Viridian Forest?" she asked.

"I'm on my way home to visit my parents." He answered as he saw the Pidgey go to the Pidgeotto. "Haven't seen them in forever." Ace added with a rather pleasing smile. Lucario quit grinning at Lux as he turned his focus farther back as Natalya was slowly starting to get back up. Along with her Zangoose. The other two pokemon were still deeply KO'D.

Sulteron nodded, watching Natalya as well. She should probably get going... she hadn't really got much out of Viridian Forest so far, other than the Wooper following her around. She wanted a proper battle, to catch a Pokémon... there were a huge variety of Pokémon commonly found here that graced her wishlist. Pidgey, Caterpie and Pikachu, for example. It was because of that she felt it were a bit of a shame that she couldn't catch a Pidgey here, but that wasn't up to her. She waved to Ace. "I hope you have a good time with your parents. I'd best get going; battles to fight, Pokémon to catch and all that."
With that, she left, her four Pokémon following after her, and the wild Wooper too. She hadn't walked too far away from the scene of the Pidgeotto, Ace and Natalya when she stopped; a number of her Pokémon were complaining about being hungry. She shrugged. Yeah, she supposed it was about lunchtime, after all. The Espeon 'morph settled down on a fallen log, handing out Pokéblock to the various Pokémon around her and taking a bite out of an apple while they began to eat too.

Ace waved as Natalya slowly fled with her Machop in front. He liked Sulteron, seemed like a nice person. With that, he turned and walked the opposite direction. The way which Sulteron came. To Viridian to visit his parents.
The forest was very pleasant. Berries were on multiple tree branches and bushes. Pokemon roamed throughout the place. No pokemon seemed to want to bother Sulteron. That and probably didn't want to mess with her. That scene hadn't been hard to watch. They all got the power Sulteron's party was capable to give.

Sulteron rather enjoyed eating outside in the peace, listening to the sounds of the various Pokémon going about their hidden lives. It might have been nice to get a battle in and maybe catch something, but it was nice too to sit and eat, appreciating nature. Her Pokémon felt fully rested, snacking on a few of the berries as well. She noted how they even seemed to include the wild Wooper- perhaps she'd have to battle and/or catch him at some point.
When the food had been eated, Sulteron decided that perhaps they should get a bit more serious. They'd spent much of the forest so far joking around, aside from perhaps rescuing the Pidgey family. But now it was time to do what trainers did; look for Pokémon. She led her four Pokémon and the wild Wooper off the path, searching through the more wild areas, moving further away from her picnic spot and hoping that something would come her way while her Pokémon enjoyed a more exciting spot to explore.

A Weedle squirmed around and along a strong branch in a tree within feet of Sulteron and her party. "~Weedle, Weedle~" It chanted as it squirmed without a reason across the branch. It had seen Sulteron and immediately picked up that she was a trainer. He wasn't worried and practically ignored her. Even he knew that a trainer wouldn't go after a pokemon like himself. He knew all about these trainers. They wanted to be strong. But it was really the pokemon that carried them all the way there. He was capable of being strong if he evolved all the way to a Beedrill. But he knew a Weedle wasn't the way to go for strength for any trainer really. So he continued to squirm and wrap himself around the tree branch carelessly.

Sulteron spied the Weedle. Aw, how cute! And when they evolved, they would be tough Beedrill. To be honest, she had something of a phobia of bee-like Pokémon. In her opinion, it was always best to get over phobias. Wouldn't it be a good way to get rid her phobia to catch this little Weedle, train him and evolve him? After all, even a Beedrill would be tame if he was with her from his first evolution. So, maybe it would be a good idea to challenge the little guy to a battle and see how things turned out?
At any rate, it couldn't hurt. After all, a Weedle weren't reknowned for being the toughest Pokémon around, so this one probably wasn't expecting a battle. Surely it would be a nice change for him, then, if he suddenly found himself in one? Yes, she was sure he might like that. So, all the more reason to battle! "Hello, Weedle. My name's Sulteron. Do you fancy a battle against me and my Murkrow here?" she asked.

The challenge caught the Weedle by more surprise than maybe it could have ever imagined. The Weedle was honored, but did not want to battle against a Murkrow. It could get pulverized. He could've been eaten by the bird in minutes. But he saw this as a chance to prove himself anyways and nodded reluctantly. He squirmed off the branch and down the tree trunk to face Sulteron.

Sulteron noticed Weedle seemed keen to battle, but not against Sorati. Eh? Oh, right; Sorati was a Flying type, and knew Peck. That would be super effective against a Bug type like little Weedle. She had wanted to use Sorati because he was the lowest level of her Pokémon and needed training, not because he had a type advantage... well, if she avoided using Peck, it would be as if it were a perfectly even match. "Weedle, I'll play fair and not use any super effective moves, promise. OK, Sorati, let's go with an Astonish!" she promised.
The crow rolled his eyes. Trust Sulteron to play fair rather than seize and advantage. Whatever, he could beat this Pokémon. He was a little disappointed that he couldn't be fight Weedle's evolved form, but then again he reckoned he wouldn't stand so much of a chance against a Beedrill. Sorati flew towards Weedle, aiming his Astonish attack as he grew steadily nearer.

The Weedle grinned slightly seeing Sulteron was going to battle fair. It made him feel more secure. Now he could truly focus on the battle, rather knowing that one move could end it all.
He didn't dodge because he wasn't too fast. Instead, he blew multiple shards of electric purple light to offensively defend itself from the Astonish. So he wouldn't only not get hit, but launch an attack at the same time.

Sorati was surprised to meet the Poison Sting on his way towards Weedle. It pushed him back, meaning Weedle escaped unharmed. He clicked his beak in annoyance. That little worm! He'd get him back for that. An odd strangled screeching sound came from his throat, and he grew angrier. Sulteron could see this, and did not think it would be a good thing to get angry right now. It was never good to get angry, unless you needed adrenalin pronto. "Sorati, stay calm! Use Pursuit!"
The Murkrow nodded his glossy black feathered head, flexing his wings. He arched them downwards, curving to take aim at Weedle once again. This time, he moved faster as he headed towards the Bug type in the Dark type attack of Pursuit.

The Weedle used the same strategy and used String Shot. Hoping to bind the Murkrow in a sticky substance to prevent the Pursuit. But that didn't work as Sorati had too much speed and he was slightly too late. He got the String Shot in, but the Pursuit still rammed him and he looked dazed. However, he quickly recovered.

Sorati cawed in delight at his small victory. Yes, he'd landed his first hit! The String Shot then wrapped itself around his body, causing him to dip in the air before catching himself, shaking off the sticky gooey stringy stuff. His speed stat had been lowered, and there was nothing he could do about that. What he would just have to do now is persist with his attacking and hope for the best. Sulteron was ready to order his next move as usual. "Sorati, use another Pursuit!"
Although unsure whether this would be a sucess now Weedle knew what to expect, Sorati obeyed. Perhaps his changed speed stat would throw Weedle off timing. Hang on... yes! That was what he would do! Murkrow like him were reknown for tricks, and he would do exactly that. He pretended he was slower than he actually was to lure Weedle into wrong timing. Once he was fairly near the Bug type, he moved a lot quicker. This wasn't as fast as usual, obviously, but fast enough to deliver a Pursuit attack soon.

The plan worked perfectly. The Weedle watched as he waited for the perfect timing. He then began to unleash a Poison Sting at the 'right' moment and BAM!. He was KO'd into the ground. The Weedle lay in exhaustion. Breathing slowly. That battle was rough. He knew that he hadn't impressed nothing at all.
(What will Sulteron do, throw a pokeball, or leave?)

Sulteron was surprised Weedle had fainted so soon into the battle. Sorati did as well. The Murkrow flew back to his trainer's shoulder, watching the fainted caterpillar. Sulteron was thinking about whether to catch him or not. Well, she supposed it would be best for both her and Weedle if she did. After all, she might get over her phobia, and Weedle was likely to find it hard to train in the wild. She would be able to get him to evolve with a bit of training, and at least that way she'd be getting something out of the battle, too. With that decided, she threw the Pokéball at Weedle, watching to see whether he would be caught or not.

The pokeball waddled back and forth and made a metallic sound for a while. The pokeball glowed red as if the Weedle was about to escape, but it stopped and continued to rock back and forth. Then, the pokeball clicked with the familiar sound of victory. the victory of another caught pokemon.

Sulteron picked up Weedle's Pokéball, smiling. Ah, brilliant! She'd caught another Pokémon! That made what, five? A decently sized team. That was more than the first gym leader had, too! Yes, she was content with that. She continued down Viridian Forest, and soon found her way out, entering Pewter City at last. To her first gym battle!
To be continued...
