Luigi strolled along Route 29, following the "obstacles" that the route followed. The many ledges, tall grass patches, and people were a very enjoying sight. But that wasn't what was on his mind. He was thinking about what pokemon he'd find first. "Maybe a Spinarak, or a Pidgey, or a Rattata..." And the list went on and on in his mind.
He didn't quite seem to realize that it didn't matter what he wanetd. He was going to get what he found. It was a world of pokemon, a large variety/selection, that means a large randomization, so he could get anything! Of course, Luigi was too busy thinking about his Elite Team to care about that at the moment.
Yunell, his Cyndaquil followed at his side. Prancing and easily keeping up.

A low buzzing filled the air. Or, maybe it was just the wind. But no, it couldn't have been the wind; it was a perfectly calm day, with clear blue summery skies. Then what was buzzing? ~Baaa-yaaaa...~ a relaxed Pokémon's voice drifted along the wind. The buzzing grew louder as the voice did. Suddenly, when the buzzing was louder than ever, something whizzed into Yunell the Cyndaquil's face. The Bug type laughed, buzzing from Yunell to Luigi. When the blurry red Pokémon finally stopped moving, it was standing on the path in front of Luigi, arms folded. It was a small Ledyba; pretty young. It was smiling, as though pleased to see someone.

Seeing the Ledyba just appear in Yunell's face. He fell backwards and sneezed. Kind of a weird reacction but that wasn't the point. He had a new goal now. Catch that pokemon! He wasn't sure what to say or what to do. Was the Ledyba going to be playful, or was a battle going to follow? Yunell seemed the same, cluless. They had to wait for the Ledyba to say something.

Luigi and Yunell looked at eachother, somehow caught by surprise. With hesitation, Luigi turned and nodded to the Ledyba. "Let's go for it!" Luigi said, pounding with excitement. Yunell took a few intimidating macho steps ahead and got ready for battle. "Tackle!" Luigi commanded. Yunell charged at the Buga s fast as he could, not being fast and a kind of weak attack. Boy would it be awesoem if he caught the Ledyba. Maybe Luis and he could battle to see how would raise their Ledyba faster!

Ledyba watched the Cyndaquil with reasonable interest. Cyndaquil were Fire types, but the ones which came from the lab never knew any Fire type attacks; good if you were weak to Fire type attacks like this Bug type. The ladybird Pokémon's wing cases opened quickly, thin but strong and durable wings flapping in a blur. Ledyba don't look perticulaly as though they're built to fly, but well, they could. This one nearly dodged Yunell's Tackle, but unfortunately for her the Cyndaquil could jump. She lost balance and began to fall, but luckily she regained balance in time and hovered low in the air. She began to charge at Yunell now, using her own Tackle attack.

"Dodge and...Tackle I guess." Luigi commanded quietly. He really needed to build character, that actually was the reason his dad went alog with this adventure idea all along. Yunell did as so and was about to jump, but the Ledyba could fly. So to dodge, at the last second, he ducked. The Tackle skimming his head and he felt a slight scrape. He then turned around and bolted at the ledyba with Tackle.

Ledyba cried out as the Tackle attack struck. The ladybird was flung to the ground, and groaned a little as her legs frantically attempted to move; she was on her back. Eventually, however, she got to her feet by rocking from one side to the other until she'd built up enough momentum to get her up. However, she started to skid around, but used this to her advantage by turning the speed into a Tackle attack.

It was quite obvious what Yunell should do and "Dodge and Use Tackle" was exactly what he said. But when he even thought about the command, the Ledyba had rammed him, smack in the middle. He was sent back, bouncing on his head and back but he landed on his feet surprisingly. After catching a breather, he dashed at the Ledyba with Tackle.

Ledyba snarled angrily at the little fiery mouse Pokémon. What an annoying little trainer! The Pokémon's wing cases threatened to open, but for some reason the Pokémon didn't move. She just stayed where she was... how strange. She clearly had some trick up her sleeve. Well, whatever the case, Ledyba remained still. As Yunell moved forwards in his attack, she was struck hard. However, her feet held strong, other than sliding back a couple of inches. She snarled. Then; her wing cases opened, and her wings fluttered at full force. This was an odd sort of pushing Tackle attack, and was pretty unmissable.

Luigi and Yunell were blown back. Especially Yunell, who was blown by the counter Tackle. That made the two realzie that this pokemon was smart, very smart. But Luigi was unnaturally smart just as much if not more. They would copy the Ledyba, but attack with a different technique. So that being said, (or typed) Yunell stayed put on Luigi's command.

Ledyba might be smart, but she didn't seem to realize that her own tactic was being played against her. She was looking fairly tired at this stage, but that wasn't about to stop her now, was it? The ladybird Pokémon's wing cases shut quickly. She had punched the air as her move had struck it's mark, but hand't wanted to waste any time celebrating. To the ledyba, Yunell and Luigi's newest action wasn't a trap; she thought Luigi was giving the Cyndaquil time to recover, and chose to use that to her advantage. An easy hit, oh yes! Ledyba zipped happily towards him in a Tackle.

Knowing what the plan was, Yunell ducked, the Ledyba flying over him. But when the Ledyba was exactly over him, he shot up with Tackle. Hoping to knock the Ledyba out of the air. Luigi watched, nothing he could do at this point besides Tackle. If this didn't finish the deal.

Ledyba realized the trap a little too late. As Yunell sprang at her, she cried out, attempting to fly out the way. But, however, this was all done too late. The Ledyba's fate was sealed, no matter how desperate her attempts to flee were. She moaned, flying through the air without even using her wings. She was flung painfully into a tree, then crashed to the ground before she could recover enough to use her wings. She twitched a little, then moved no more. She had fainted.
Yunell gained a level!
ooc// By the way, I really don't get how the levels work. I've read it over and over, but I just don't get it.

ooc; I can't find a good way to put a leveling system. I'll see how good I can explain/change it.
Bic; Seeing the Ledyba fainted, he grabbed a Pokeball and chucked it quickly, not sure if Pokeballs could handle fainted pokeball. Well, they should, that was what he learned in school, but the only true way to find out is by trying. And knowing that, he hoped and hoped that he would catch the pokemon.

The Pokéball rocked gently from side to side at first, the Ledyba inside not really realising what was going on. Then, all of a sudden, it bounced in the air as the Bug type realized what was happing, and the capture device began to shake more violently. However, soon, Ledyba gaze up. The Pokéball was no match for a fainted Pokémon which only woke up in the Pokéball, and Ledyba fell asleep again in the comfort of her new Pokéball. The device announced the capture to Luigi with a loud ping. Ledyba now belonged to him through this red and white sphere.

Luigi was lurching forward, teeth crammed together tight, dists clenched. hearing the "ping!", he jumped in the air twice. Incredously proud with himself. He dashed and picked up the pokeball. "Come on out Estrana!" Luigi said happily. He always imagined somethng splendid like this would happen to him. The Ledyba happily came out. She glided in circles, still slightly tired. "oh what the heck, come on out Dreams!" Luigi cheered. A Misdreavus swarmed out of a pokeball. When the three were done negotiating, they all took off across Route 1. Luigi thought it would be nice having just those three out. They wer ethe first three pokemon he had.

A little Pokémon was curiously sniffing about. He was a rather plump Pokémon, having just tucked into a nice meal. He burped loudly, then giggled. He heard another Pokémon. Perhaps they had... food? The Pokémon waddled to a bush, peering through. Ooooh... even better, a trainer! They were bound to have lots of Pokémon food! He walked straight up to Luigi, revealing clearly what he was. The Teddiursa looked up at the trainer, then warily from Yunell to Dreams to Estrana. Oops. Maybe they wouldn't share their food. But he was hungry! Teddiursa, without warning, leapt at Luigi and began to tear at the clasp of his bag.

When they saw the Teddiursa out of no where, launch at him, his first instinct was to shoot out of the way. And that was exactly what he did. But he was slightly too late, the Teddiursa had teared the bag in three spots. One for each claw. A little bit of food leaked out. And Dreams was the only one excited to join the fray. She used Ominous Wind, a purple storm sweeping across thescene.

Teddiursa began to much on a bit of food, completely ignoring Dreams. The Ominous Wind swept over her, but there was absolutely no change in her actions. Oh, right. Maybe Dreams had forgot, but just as Normal type attacks don't effect Ghost types, Ghost type attacks don't effect Normal types. Teddiursa only noticed any change when the attack was over. He burbed, then realized the Pokémon had been attacking him. He growled, leaping to the ground and facing Yunell and Estrana. One of those two would battle him!

"Dang!" Dreams exclaimed in annoyance. Yunell and Estrana looked at eachother and realized only they could take care of the starevd and rather psychotic bear. Estrana did what she did best and also the only thing she could do, she glided towards the Teddiursa as fast as she could with a Tackle.
