ooc; Estrana grew 2 levels.
Bic; Luigi was victorious that his first battle was a success. Seeing this Teddiursa was out of breath, and he couldn't afford an instant full party if events like this continued, he contnued to walk. Strolling the dirt path of Route 29. Unaware of pokemon coming, well unaware of what kind they would be.

It didn't seem like there was anything else on the route that would suddenly burst out on Luigi... or was there? No, there didn't seem to be. It was all clear!
~HOOOOOOOOOT!~
Oh, wait, maybe I spoke too soon. An owl Pokémon shot out a tree, colliding with Luigi with a small thud. The Hoothoot fluttered into the air, glaring at the boy with his large red eyes. He seemed angry; after all, since Hoothoot were nocturnal, he'd probably just had a rude awakening.

Luigi backed off at the sudden collision between him and the Hoothoot. He sighed, but then realized that the Hoothoot had woken up during daylight hours. "Dang, it's gonna kill me!" Luigi thought. Without saying anything, he sent out his Torchic who screech in preparation as battle was about to begin.
Luigi felt a burst of energy. He realized he had felt this often throughout his life, particularly during a pokemon battle. He didn't pay to much mind to this factor. "Cyndaquil, Tackle!" Luigi commanded. The Cyndaquil did as told, charging quickly towards the Hoothoot.

ooc// Wait, you don't actually have a Torchic... or at least, not in your PC. Birdy confuzzled!

ooc; I've never had time to do my PC. That, and I had a brain glitch. Meant to put Cyndaquil using Tackle. Lol.

ooc// 'K thanks, makes a lot more sense now. Yeah, I think some of your Pokémon have gained levels you didn't include, and stuff.
ic// Hoothoot looked at Yunell as he began to use a Tackle. Hm, that looked like a fairly strong one, to be honest. The owl Pokémon wasn't too keen on being hit by it, and so attempted to dodge. However, the Cyndaquil was faster, and so Yunell hit Hoothoot. The Flying type was sent backwards by the force of it, groaning in pain. At least he'd managed to keep aloft, he supposed. Yeah, looking on the bright side, he'd done that. Plus Luigi had accepted his battle in the first place.
It was now Hoothoot's turn to attack, and after that it was clear he wasn't going to give Yunell much mercy. He was glaring at the Fire type with those huge red, round eyes of his, fixing his with a rather unnerving stare. This wasn't a move, more of a threat. He fluttered his tiny wings, speeding up as he charged through the air right at Yunell in a Tackle attack of his own, hoping he would land a hit.

ooc; When I have the time to put things together I will. I always have to go through a schedule these days now that it is this time of year and baseball is going.
BIC; Yunell strutted in a small circle playfully for a short while. Trying to fire up the Hoothoot. Only when he turned around, he was drilled in the face by Tackle. A critical hit, and a vicious one too. Regardless, Yunell got up at a regular pace, but it didn't take a scientist to know that that one hurt.
"Yunell, Tackle again." Luigi said simply. Yunell charged one more time, not taking anytime to make an unfamiliar movement to throw teh Hoothoot off. Making this attack easy to dodge. Luigi knew that, but Yunell was knew to a lot of things so he didn't want to confuse the Cyndaquil or any other of his pokemon.

Hoothoot was quite that he had managed to land a hit- not just that, but a critical one too- on Yunell. That was good, since it meant the Tackle had done more damage than they would have done otherwise. And now the owl Pokémon was faced with the Cyndaquil coming towards it. It looked like the Tackle would be an easy move to dodge, but unfortunately for Hoothoot, it hadn't moved away since its own Tackle and so Yunell didn't have far to go before Hoothoot was hit.
The Flying type didn't feel too much damage thanks to the short run-up Yunell had, so was still going strong. He was rather enjoying this battle, and hoped it would prove to be a good one. Then, of course, he could get back to his sleep as he would usually do; he had no doubts in his mind that he would loose. Confidence, but perhaps too much. Hoothoot flew at Yunell again, aiming another Tackle.

"Jump to dodge and Tackle downwards." Luigi commanded. Luigi knew this was a rather advanced strategy for a young pokemon to handle. But he was impressed 100%. Yunell dodged rather easily and pointed downwards for a Tackle towards Hoothoot. Luigi was hoping that Yunell would pull through once more. This seemed to be a battle that this Cyndaquil had earned.

Hoothoot watched as Yunell attempted a downwards Tackle. Ha, he would be all right; he could fly! The owl fluttered his wings a little harder, aiming to dodge. However, he wasn't fast enough; gravity brought the Cyndaquil down fast, and he felt the pain of the attack. The Flying type was starting to show signs of weakening, but there was no chance of him giving up yet. He would keep going until the very end!
Another Tackle was what he would do; what else? Tackle was his only offensive move, so that would be what he would do. Hoothoot flew at Yunell furiously, hoping that this time he would land a hit.

Yunell tried to dodge by doing a cartwheel. He was off balance yet if he fell quick enough he could get out of the way. Yet, do to his off balance it tempted him to try to stand. Causing to have the wind knocked out of him from the HootHoot's Tackle to the gut. Yunell tossed and tumbled over and through the dirt. KO'd.
It stunk that Yunell fainted, but the Cyndaquil was amazing and Luigi was not dissapointed at all. He really couldn't have reasonably asked for more. "Return Yunell." Luigi said calmly. He wasn't sure if he should send out a second pokemon, or if Hoothoot would leave.

ooc// Well done for being the first person I've modded to actually let themselves loose, I love it when the other person doesn't act like their Pokémon are invincible -pats on back-
ic// Hoothoot was startled to see Yunell defeated. Whaa? He'd... he'd won? Wow. It didn't quite seem like it was that far on in the battle for one of the Pokémon to be defeated, but he supposed time must be flying from having fun. The owl looked uneasily at Luigi, unsure of what to do know. Was the trainer going to try and fight him with another Pokémon? He hoped not... he felt like he was too tired to keep going with the battles.
Instead, the round owl Pokémon hopped forwards just a little, cocking his head (or rather, his whole body) to one side. He smiled. He knew what he would do. The Hoothoot remained still, trying to get a message across to Luigi; if he wanted, the boy would be able to catch Hoothoot. If not, he would go back to his old life.

ooc; What, you thought I'd think Cyndaquil would go on an assassination through Route 29?
BIC; Luigi wasn't sure what to do. He knew that the Hoothoot 'appeared' not to care if he caught it or not. But he had a gut feeling that he shouldn't. He walks in on a Hoothoot's territory and Hoothoot just gives in when the Hoothoot had been the first to KO his Cyndaquil.
After a bit of thought, he smiled. "It was nice meeting you Hoothoot." And he nodded. Yunell just sort of appeared out of his pokeball after a crushing defeat. He smiled, "Thanks for a great battle!" Yunell chirped. Which for someone that didn't eat a Poke Language Candy, it sounded like, " Cynda, Cyndaquil, Cynda!]
